Start by thanking subscribers and encouraging new subscriptions.
Prepare 4 cups of peeled almonds (soak overnight if necessary to peel).
Add 1 cup of powdered sugar and 0.5 teaspoon of cinnamon to the almonds.
Blend the mixture into a paste.
Add 1 egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the almond paste; note that orange blossom or rose water can be used instead of vanilla.
Lay down one sheet of phyllo dough and brush it with melted butter (about 1 cup total).
Add another sheet of phyllo dough and brush with more melted butter.
Place a good amount of almond paste at one end of the phyllo dough and roll it up carefully to form a snake shape.
Repeat the rolling process until the baking pan is filled with the snake pastries.
Brush the top of the pastries with melted butter (less than 1 cup may be needed).
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bake the pastries for 20 to 40 minutes, checking for a golden brown color.
Once baked, drizzle honey on top of the pastries and add sliced almonds.
Let the pastries cool down and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
