Add the soaked sushi rice to a pot.

Bring the mixture to a boil without covering it.
Once boiling, cover the pot and reduce heat to a simmer for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, check the rice to ensure it's sticky enough and not burned.
Set the rice aside to cool.
Chop green bell peppers and gather other ingredients for toppings.
Lay a sheet of nori on a sushi mat with the shiny side facing up.
Spread about 1 cup of the cooled tomato-flavored sushi rice over the nori sheet.
Add basil leaves, pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, and green bell pepper strips on top of the rice.
Roll the nori tightly to form a sushi roll.
Slice the roll into pieces using a sharp knife.
