Heat 100 ml oil in a pot until hot.

Add 4 chopped onions and sauté until translucent.

Stir in 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste and cook until the smell is gone.

Add water in a quantity of 2 times the rice amount; cover and cook for 10 minutes.

Add 1 kg soaked rice to the pot and cook on low heat, covered.

After cooking, wrap the pot with silver foil and cover with a lid; let it steam for 20 minutes.

Remove the foil and lid; add 1 tablespoon ghee to the rice and fluff it up.
