Nigerian Vegetable Sauce for Yam

Cook Titus fish in a pot, seasoning with onions, ginger, garlic, and salt, adding water and cooking until well done.
Heat cooking oil in a pan until hot, then add chopped onions, ginger, and garlic paste, cooking until fragrant.
Add pepper blend (tomatoes, cayenne pepper, red bell pepper, and more onions) to the pan and mix well, covering to cook.
While the sauce cooks, peel and cut yam, placing it in water to prevent browning, then boil until tender.
Chop ugu and African basil (scent leaf) after rinsing them.
Debone and flake the cooked Titus fish.
Once the pepper mix is cooked down, season it and add cleaned dried fish, covering to soften.
After a few minutes, add the flaked Titus fish to the sauce and mix well.
Add chopped ugu and African basil to the sauce, combining everything and cooking for another 1-2 minutes.
Turn off the heat and serve the sauce with yam.
