Leave frozen bananas out of the freezer for about 15 minutes to soften slightly.

Chop the frozen bananas into smaller pieces.

Add the chopped bananas to a blender.

Add 3 tablespoons of peanut butter to the blender (optional).

Blend the mixture for about 2 to 3 minutes until it becomes smooth, scraping down the sides with a spatula as needed.

Once blended, transfer the mixture into a bowl.

Stir through some chocolate chips, reserving a little to serve on top.

Transfer the mixture into a freezer-proof container and freeze overnight, or serve immediately for a quick ice cream fix.
