Tofu Nuggets

1 block (14 oz) firm tofu
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup plant-based milk
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.

In a bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper.

Dip each tofu cube into the flour mixture, then into the plant-based milk, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat for frying.

Once the oil is hot, add the coated tofu nuggets in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.

Fry the nuggets for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.

Remove the nuggets from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
