Mix 40 grams of yeast with 1/2 cup of warm milk and 2 tablespoons of sugar, then add 100 grams of pastry flour and mix together. Let it rise.
In a separate bowl, cream together 200 grams of soft butter and 150 grams of sugar.
Add 5 eggs one at a time, mixing in between each addition.
Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon of orange zest, and 1 teaspoon of honey, then mix well.
Combine the yeast mixture with the butter mixture, then add more pastry flour as needed.
Cover the dough and let it rise for 1-2 hours depending on temperature.
Once risen, knead the dough and mix in desired add-ins like candy fruit, raisins, chocolate chips, almonds, or cashew nuts.
Place the dough in a mold and let it rise for another 40 minutes.
Brush the top with melted butter while still hot.
Make a coating with powdered sugar and a bit of milk, ensuring it is not too thick, then drizzle over the pastry.
