Add 1 cup of whole raw almonds to a dry skillet over medium heat.

Add 1/2 cup of walnut halves to the skillet.

Stir the nuts often for about 8 minutes until they are nutty, fragrant, and toasted.

Transfer the toasted nuts into a bowl and set aside.

Line a half sheet pan with aluminum foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.

In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of salted butter and melt it.

Add 1/2 cup of packed light brown sugar to the melted butter and stir.

Add 1 tablespoon of water and 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the mixture.

Cook the mixture for about 1 minute until the sugar is dissolved and the glaze is bubbly and glossy.

Add the toasted nuts back into the skillet with the glaze.

Add 2 teaspoons of freshly chopped thyme to the nuts and glaze them for about a minute until nicely coated.
