These savory meatballs symbolize comfort and home-cooked meals in Denmark. While they are typically made with a mix of pork and beef, variations exist globally, with different spices and serving styles.

Ground turkey is lower in fat and calories.

Oats provide fiber and are often more affordable.
Make pork filling.
Make patties for the sliders (2.3 oz. / 65 grams each). Let stand in fridge for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 180F (43C).
Heat frying pan to 75%.
Fry patties for 2 minutes per side.
Place Emmental cheese on top of patties and place in oven for 5 minutes.
Place slider buns in pan soaking them in residual juices and fry until golden brown.
Place bottoms of buns on plate and start with a bit of remoulade.
Remove patties from oven and place on top of remoulade.
Add a dollop of red cabbage on top of patties.
Apply a little mustard.
Add caramelized onions.
Take smoked mayo and apply on the inside top bun.
