Boil 3/4 cup of water with cáscaras de tomate and comino.
Break apart the masa de tortillas in a bowl.
Add baking powder and salt to the masa, mixing well.
Incorporate the manteca de cerdo into the masa with clean hands.
Gradually add the cooled water from the boiled cáscaras de tomate to the masa until it reaches the right consistency.
Cover the masa and let it rest.
Prepare the banana leaves by cutting them to size and softening them over heat.
Boil eggs for 15 minutes in water at room temperature, then peel and slice them.
Take a portion of masa, spread it on a banana leaf, and add an olive, a piece of plum, a slice of egg, and some mole.
Fold the banana leaf over the masa to encase the filling and secure it.
Repeat the process until all masa and filling are used.
Place a rack in a pot with 1.5 liters of water and add leftover banana leaves.
Arrange the tamales upright in the pot, cover with more banana leaves, and steam for 1 hour, checking water levels during cooking.
