Olive oil adds flavor while being healthier.

Dump all the crackers into a 2.5-gallon ziplock bag.

Add 2 packages of ranch salad dressing mix to the bag.

Pour in approximately 2 cups of canola oil.

Add crushed red pepper flakes to taste (about 1 teaspoon or less).

Whisk the oil and seasoning mixture thoroughly to dissolve the ranch dressing.

Pour the mixture into the bag with the crackers.

Zip up the bag and gently tumble to coat the crackers without breaking them.

Let the bag sit for about 30 minutes, giving it a gentle tumble every 30 minutes for approximately 2 hours.

After 2 hours, dump the crackers out onto paper towels and spread them out.

Let the crackers sit for about 1 hour to dry.

Store the dried crackers in sealed containers.
