Soak sultanas and raisins in 250 ml boiling water with 2 tea bags for about an hour.

Remove the tea bags, leaving 200 ml of liquid.

Optionally add 100 ml of Guinness and a drop of whiskey to the soaked fruit.

Line a 2 lb loaf pan with greaseproof paper and pour the batter into it.
