Garlic Fried Rice

2 cups day-old rice

Break up any clumps in the day-old rice that has been in the fridge.

Melt butter on a flat top grill.

Add the rice to the melted butter and coat it well, moving it around.

Put the remaining butter into the center of the rice and add garlic to it.

Keep the garlic moving in the butter to prevent it from burning.

Once the garlic is heated and mixed with the butter, stir fry the rice again.

Add Japanese soy sauce and mix it into the rice while stir frying.

Add scallions and a couple twists of black pepper, then stir fry to combine.

Take the fried rice off the heat.
