Create a makeshift steamer with a wire rack and water in a pot.
Place the wrapped mixture on the rack, ensuring it doesn't touch the water.
Cover and steam on low to medium heat for about 40 minutes, adjusting time for larger portions.
Drain the steamed mixture in a colander and allow to cool before serving.
