1/3 cup butter
2 lbs asparagus
1/2 large onion
1 whole garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups heavy cream

Prep the asparagus.

Add 1/3 cup butter to your pot and melt.

Add 2 lbs of cut up asparagus and cook until softened.

Add 1/2 of a large onion cut up and cook for about 15 minutes.

Add 1 whole garlic chopped up, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon pepper.

Mix it all up and cook for a couple minutes.

Add 2 cups chicken broth and bring to a boil.

Let this sit without heat for a couple minutes.

Add to a blender and blend it.

Pour back in pot.

Add lid back on and cook on medium heat for about another 10 to 15 minutes.
