Roasted Garlic

Cut the tops off the garlic bulbs.

Rest the garlic in a dish.

Salt and pepper the garlic.

Add olive oil on top of the garlic.

Remove some of the loose paper skin from the garlic, but leave most of it wrapped.

Massage the garlic to help remove the loose paper skin.

Cover the garlic with aluminum foil.

Preheat the Traeger Grill to 400 degrees.

Place the wrapped garlic on the grill and roast for 30 to 40 minutes, checking for doneness based on the size of the bulbs.

Check the garlic after 30-40 minutes; it should be golden brown and soft to the touch.

Once done, remove the garlic from the grill and let it cool slightly.

Test the garlic by pressing it; it should be soft and squishy.

Pop the roasted garlic cloves out of their skins using a fork.

Smash the garlic if desired, as it will be used in a paste or compound butter.
