EASY CAST IRON SKILLET CAKE

Grease the inside of a 5.5 to 6 inch mini cast iron skillet with butter.

In a bowl, add chocolate chips and butter.

Microwave the chocolate chips and butter at 30 second increments until melted, stirring in between.

Add sugar, 1 egg, and vanilla extract to the melted mixture.

Top with flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.

Whisk the mixture until thoroughly combined.

Pour the batter into the pre-greased skillet.

Tap the skillet a couple of times on the board to remove air bubbles.

Place the skillet in a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 18 to 20 minutes.

Check for doneness; it should come out just a little wet for a fudgy consistency.

Top with powdered sugar and serve with ice cream.
