Add sliced andouille sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
Incorporate canned tomatoes, chicken broth, and Cajun seasoning into the pot, stirring to combine.
Add bay leaves and thyme, then bring the mixture to a simmer.
Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add okra and shrimp, cooking until the shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in crab meat gently to heat through without breaking it apart.
Remove bay leaves and adjust seasoning to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve the gumbo over cooked rice, garnished with chopped green onions and parsley.
