How To Make A One Pot Creamy Tomato Pasta

Salt a pot of boiling water.

Add in a 16oz box of spaghetti and boil for 10 minutes.

Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water before draining the spaghetti.

Set the drained spaghetti to the side.

Lower the heat to medium and heat 2 tbsp of oil.

Add in 5 minced garlic cloves and a bit of red pepper flakes; sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Pour in a container of halved cherry tomatoes, sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper; mix well.

Cook for 6 to 8 minutes until tomatoes soften and begin to burst.

After 6 minutes, add in 1 tbsp of tomato paste and cook for 1 minute.

Lower the heat to low and stir in 3 oz of cream cheese until creamy.

Pour in 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream and the reserved 1/4 cup of pasta water; season with more black pepper, salt, and Italian seasoning; mix well.

Stir in 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese and 1/2 tsp of sugar.

Add the boiled pasta and toss to coat.

Tear up a few pieces of basil and fold into the pasta.

Serve the creamy tomato spaghetti.
