Open a mixing bowl and add 4 cups of flour (400 grams or 1 pound).
Add 15 grams of dry yeast and 10 grams of salt to the flour.
Pour in 2 cups of water into the mixture with the salt.
Mix all the ingredients together until combined, adjusting with more flour if necessary.
Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it has a good consistency, similar to a French bread.
Let the dough rest for about 20 minutes.
After resting, divide the dough into pieces of approximately 100 grams each, aiming for 8 pieces.
Shape the pieces and let them rest for about 3 minutes to relax the dough.
Lightly oil the dough pieces using your hand or a brush.
Roll out each piece using a rolling pin to form the marraquetas.
Place the shaped marraquetas onto a floured cloth to prevent sticking.
Cover the marraquetas with a cloth to allow them to rise before baking.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (380 degrees Fahrenheit).
Bake the marraquetas for about 20-22 minutes until they are golden brown.
Optionally, place a container of water in the oven to create steam for better crust.
