Turkish Tortilla Wraps

Turkish tortilla wraps, known as Dürüm, are a popular street food in Turkey, often filled with grilled meats and fresh vegetables. They reflect the country's rich culinary traditions, combining flavors and textures in a portable format. Today, Dürüm has gained international popularity, with variations found in many countries, showcasing local ingredients and preferences.

In a bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of butter and 2 cups of milk.
Melt the butter in the microwave or on the stovetop until nice and melty.
Add 4 cups of plain flour and 1 teaspoon of salt to the melted mixture.
Mix together, adding more flour as needed to avoid stickiness.
Sprinkle flour on the bench and knead the dough until there are no sticky bits.
Form the dough into balls, aiming for about 10 wraps.
Heat a frying pan with a bit of oil.
Roll out each ball into a thin wrap.
Cook the wrap on the hot pan for 20 seconds, then flip it.
If the first side is not cooked to your liking, cook for another 20 seconds and flip back.
Place cooked wraps on a tea towel to keep them warm and soft until ready to eat.
