1 kilogram water chestnuts
1 teaspoon oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 teaspoon black pepper powder
fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Wash and peel 1 kilogram of water chestnuts thoroughly.

In a medium flame, heat a pan or kadhai and add 1 teaspoon of oil.

Once the oil is hot, add the water chestnuts and mix well.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/3 teaspoon of black pepper powder to the pan.

Mix the ingredients well and cover the pan with a lid.

Let it cook on a slow flame for 15 to 20 minutes, checking every 4-5 minutes.

Check if the water chestnuts are cooked and have slightly changed color.

If they are not cooked yet, continue cooking on a slow flame until they can be easily cut.

Once cooked, turn off the gas flame and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
