Mince the onion and sauté it in a pan.
Lightly flour the duck legs before browning them in the pan.
Add the duck legs to the pan and brown them.
Pour in the dark beer and a little bit of water.
Add 2 tablespoons of brown sugar to the mixture.
Cut the spiced bread into small pieces and add it to the pan.
Let the mixture simmer for about 1.5 hours to allow the duck to cook and the sauce to thicken.
Remove the duck legs and reduce the sauce further if needed before serving.
