Cook the apples until they are soft and mushy, then prepare a cornflour slurry with 1 tablespoon of cornflour and an equal amount of water.
Add the cornflour slurry to the apple mixture to thicken it, stirring well.
Taste the apple mixture and adjust sugar as needed, depending on the sweetness of the apples.
