Heat milk in a saucepan until steaming, then slowly add to egg mixture.

Return mixture to heat and cook until thickened, stirring constantly.

Layer three pieces of pastry, spreading pastry cream in between each layer.

Top with a final pastry piece and dust with powdered sugar.
