5 medium potatoes
1 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Place 1 stick of butter in a casserole dish and put it in the oven to melt.

Peel 5 medium potatoes, wash them, and cut them in half lengthwise.

Remove the melted butter from the oven and set the casserole dish on the cutting board.

In a bowl, crack 1 egg and add 1 cup of milk, then whisk together.

Add 1 cup of flour, 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper to the egg and milk mixture, then whisk until combined.

Dip the potato halves in the egg and milk mixture, letting them sit for a minute.

Using one wet hand and one dry hand, coat the potatoes in the flour mixture.
