Cut and wash the whole chicken in a vinegar and water solution.

Add chopped scallion, shredded ginger, chopped onion, garlic, soy sauce, pimento berries, paprika, Maggie all-purpose seasoning, Maggie chicken seasoning, black pepper, garlic powder, and easy spice chicken seasoning to the chicken.

Marinate the chicken for at least 1 hour, or up to 24 hours if possible.

Heat half a cup of cooking oil in a Dutch pot over medium heat.
