Take frozen pierogies and place them in a shallow amount of water to precook for about 3 to 4 minutes.
Chop up bell peppers and sweet onion after washing them.
Sauté the chopped bell peppers and onion in a pan with a little oil for about 10 minutes, ensuring not to cook them too long to retain color.
Drain the precooked pierogies and add a little oil and butter to the pan.
Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the pan with the pierogies to caramelize and give them color.
Cook the pierogies until they are golden brown on one side, then flip them over to brown the other side.
Season the pierogies with salt, black pepper, and parsley flakes for flavor.
Serve the pierogies with sour cream or ranch on the side.
