1

Add 1 cup of balsamic vinegar to a medium sized saucepan.

2

Add 2 tablespoons of honey to the saucepan with the vinegar.

3

Turn the stove top heat to medium and stir together the vinegar and honey until it comes to a boil.

4

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low or medium low and let it simmer until reduced to about 1/3 cup.

5

Remove the glaze from heat and pour it into a heatproof container to cool completely.

6

Slice 2 pints of cherry tomatoes in half and add them to a large serving bowl.

7

Drain and pat dry mozzarella pearls, then add them to the bowl with tomatoes.

8

Cut fresh basil leaves into ribbons until you have about a third heaping cup, then add them to the salad.

9

Add finely ground sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper to the salad.

10

Toss everything together until combined.

11

Once the balsamic glaze has cooled completely, pour about half of it over the salad just before serving, leaving the rest on the side for guests.
