Start by boiling a pot of water, making sure to salt it well for the pasta.
Add bowtie pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, about 7 to 10 minutes.
In a large skillet, heat a couple tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
Add mild ground Italian sausage to the skillet and brown it, breaking it apart with a spoon until fully cooked.
Once browned, transfer the sausage to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.
Return the sausage to the skillet and reduce the heat to low to medium.
Add a jar of pasta sauce to the skillet with the sausage.
Add a couple handfuls of baby spinach to the skillet and stir to combine with the sauce and sausage.
Cover the skillet with a lid and let it simmer while the pasta finishes cooking.
Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and add it to the skillet with the sausage and spinach mixture.
Turn the heat down to low and mix everything together until well combined.
Prepare garlic bread by slicing a loaf of Italian bread and buttering it.
Sprinkle garlic salt and Italian seasoning on the buttered bread.
Broil the garlic bread in the oven until browned to your liking.
Serve the skillet lasagna with the garlic bread.
