Add sweet chicken Italian sausage (or pork, hot or sweet Italian sausage, ground beef, or ground turkey) and cook until fully brown, adding 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

Put butter in between the slits and brush garlic mixture on the outside.

Cook garlic bread at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 8 minutes until crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
