Homemade Custard

Cultural Context

Custard has roots in medieval Europe, evolving into a beloved dessert across many cultures. In Venezuela, it's often enjoyed as a sweet treat or used in pastries. The creamy texture and rich flavor make it a favorite, with variations like flan and natilla appearing in Latin American cuisines. Today, custard remains a versatile dessert, enjoyed in many forms worldwide, from classic vanilla to chocolate and fruit-infused versions.
