Whole wheat adds fiber and nutrients.
Melt 55g (¼ cup) of butter.
Add 50g (¼ cup) of brown sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon powder to the melted butter.
Add 2 tablespoons of plain flour and mix well. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine 200g (1 and ⅓ cups) of plain flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 175g (¾ cup, 2 tablespoons) of sugar. Mix well.
Add 4 eggs, 175g (⅔ cup, 2 tablespoons) of softened butter, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the dry ingredients.
Whisk the mixture for about 30 seconds, then give it a mix and whisk again for another 30 seconds.
Pour the batter into a large baking pan (40x33 cm).
Spread the cinnamon paste over the batter as desired.
Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) for 15-20 minutes until nicely baked.
Leave the cake to cool.
To make the cream cheese frosting, combine 300g (2 and ½ cups) of powdered sugar, 100g (½ cup) of cream cheese, 55g (¼ cup) of butter, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Mix the frosting by hand until everything combines, then whisk for 2-3 minutes until ready.
Spread ⅓ of the frosting over the cooled cake.
Roll the cake carefully and cover it, letting it rest for about 10 minutes.
Cut the rolled cake into thick slices and add the frosting generously on top.
