Add 4 cups of cubed butternut squash to the pot.

Season with 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme, 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.

Pour in 6 cups of chicken broth.

Increase the temperature to bring the soup to a boil.

Once boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until everything is tender.
