Pupusas are a staple of Salvadoran cuisine, often enjoyed during family gatherings and celebrations. In recent years, they've gained popularity outside of Central America, celebrated for their comforting flavors and versatility.

Cut off the stem from the loroco and chop it up into smaller pieces.
Place the chopped loroco into a food processor.
Cut the mozzarella cheese into blocks and then into smaller pieces.
Put the cheese into a Ninja Blender.
Add 1 cup of milk to the blender with the cheese.
Blend until the cheese and milk form a masa-like consistency.
Transfer the blended mixture into a bowl and mix it by hand to ensure it's well combined.
Prepare the chicharrón by placing it in the food processor with half a tomato, half an onion, some green bell pepper, and red bell pepper.
Blend the chicharrón mixture until it turns into a paste.
Clean the workspace as you go along with the cooking process.
Prepare a griddle for cooking the pupusas, as it allows for cooking multiple at once.
Make the masa for the pupusas using Maseca, eyeballing the amount needed for the tortillas.
Combine the chicharrón and cheese mixture with the refried beans to create the pupusa filling.
