500 mL dark beer
1 kg diced steak
2 cloves garlic
2 carrots
2 white onions
smoked bacon

whole grain mustard
tomato puree

Crack open a beer and taste it to ensure it's okay.

Pour 500 mL of dark beer over 1 kg of diced steak and add 2 cloves of garlic for marinade.

Let the beef marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Peel and chop 2 carrots and 2 white onions, then add them to a bowl.

Chop up smoked bacon, removing the fat, and add it to the bowl with the carrots and onions.

In an oven-proof dish, melt some butter and add the bacon, carrots, and onions, frying for a few minutes until they start to get color.

Add the marinated beef along with all the marinade (beer and garlic) to the dish.

Mix in corn flour, whole grain mustard, tomato puree, and honey until combined.

Add beef stock or chicken stock, and a bouquet garni, mixing everything through.

Cover the dish and place it in the oven at 160 degrees Celsius for about 3 hours.
