Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder roast if necessary.
Place the pork shoulder roast into the slow cooker.
Sprinkle both packets of ranch seasoning over the top of the meat.
Sprinkle both packets of brown gravy mix over the meat.
Spread the seasoning evenly over the top of the meat using a spatula.
Slice the stick of unsalted butter and place the pads of butter all over the top of the roast.
Add about 10 to 12 pepperoncinis on top of the roast.
Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on low for about 8.5 to 9 hours.
Remove the roast from the slow cooker and take out the bone.
Shred the meat and remove any excess fat as needed.
Add the cooked pepperoncinis back in with the shredded meat.
Strain the remaining gravy to make it smooth and flavorful.
Spoon the gravy over the shredded meat to keep it moist.
Serve the meat on slider buns or with mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
