Heat 2 cups of milk in the microwave until hot.

Pour the hot milk into the slow cooker.

Add chocolate chips to the hot milk and stir to mix.

Ensure the slow cooker is already heating up before adding the chocolate chips to help them dissolve.

Add the rest of the milk to the slow cooker while stirring.

Add 1 cup of half and half to the mixture and stir well.

Cover the slow cooker with the lid.

Set the slow cooker on low for 2-3 hours or high for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Stir the mixture occasionally, lifting the lid to ensure chocolate chips dissolve and nothing burns.

Once the chocolate chips are fully melted and the mixture is hot, reduce the heat setting to warm.

Add marshmallows on top of the slow cooker to melt for about 10 minutes before serving.
