Pour in 3 cups of water (based on the 2 cups of rice) and stir.

Cover the pot and let the rice cook until the water is completely dry.

Once the water is dry, add orange food color or saffron and cover again.

Let the rice cook for an additional 10 minutes until fully cooked and bright yellow.
