Roll the flank steak tightly and secure it with butcher's twine.
Brush the rolled flank steak with olive oil and season the outside with tailgater's barbecue party rub.
Preheat the Traeger Ranger to 250 degrees and smoke the flank steak for about 30 minutes.
Check the internal temperature; when it reaches 120 degrees, remove it from the smoker and let it rest.
Increase the temperature of the Traeger Ranger to 450-500 degrees.
Sear the flank steak for about a minute on each side until a nice crust forms.
