Whole wheat pastry adds fiber and is often cheaper than store-bought puff pastry.
Start by taking 100 grams of soft butter, not from the fridge, but at room temperature.
Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla powder or essence and a pinch of salt to the butter.
Mix in 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
Add 1 egg (optional) to the mixture. If you want to skip the egg, you can add 2-3 tablespoons of milk instead.
Incorporate 2-3 tablespoons of almond powder and gradually add 2 cups of all-purpose flour to form a dough similar to biscuit dough.
Wrap the dough and let it rest in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
After resting, roll out the dough to fit an 8-inch round baking pan, pressing it into shape with your fingers.
Trim the excess dough from the edges and prick the base with a fork.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and bake the tart shell for 15 minutes with baking paper and chickpeas on top.
Remove the chickpeas and baking paper, and bake for another 15 minutes until golden brown.
To prepare the custard, mix 5 tablespoons of sugar and 3 tablespoons of custard powder in a bowl.
Add 0.5 liters of milk to the mixture and stir well.
Cook the mixture on the stove until it thickens, stirring continuously, then add 2 tablespoons of butter.
Pour the custard into the baked tart shell and cover with plastic wrap to prevent a skin from forming. Refrigerate to set.
For the chocolate layer, melt 100 grams of chocolate with 1/4 cup of milk and 2 tablespoons of butter until smooth and slightly thickened.
Let the chocolate mixture cool slightly before pouring it over the set custard.
Refrigerate the tart for another hour to set the chocolate layer.
For decoration, use white chocolate to create a design on top of the tart.
Cut the tart into pieces and serve with chocolate beans.
