Ingredients

  • 4 lbs pork shoulder

  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. 2In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, and rosemary.
  3. 3Rub the pork shoulder with olive oil and then coat it evenly with the spice mixture.
  4. 4Place the pork in a roasting pan and pour the chicken broth and apple cider vinegar around it.
  5. 5Cover the roasting pan with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven.
  6. 6Roast the pork for about 4 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 190°F (88°C).
  7. 7Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow the skin to crisp up.
  8. 8Once done, remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing.
  9. 9Serve with your choice of sides.
