- ●4 lbs pork shoulder
- ●2 tbsp olive oil
- ●1 tbsp salt
- ●1 tsp black pepper
- ●1 tbsp garlic powder
- ●1 tbsp onion powder
- ●1 tbsp paprika
- ●1 tsp dried thyme
- ●1 tsp dried rosemary
- ●1 cup chicken broth
- ●1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- 1Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- 2In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, and rosemary.
- 3Rub the pork shoulder with olive oil and then coat it evenly with the spice mixture.
- 4Place the pork in a roasting pan and pour the chicken broth and apple cider vinegar around it.
- 5Cover the roasting pan with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven.
- 6Roast the pork for about 4 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 190°F (88°C).
- 7Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow the skin to crisp up.
- 8Once done, remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing.
- 9Serve with your choice of sides.

- 6Place the chicken on a roasting rack in a roasting pan.
- 7Surround the chicken with chopped carrots, onions, and potatoes.
- 8Pour chicken broth into the bottom of the pan.
- 9Roast the chicken for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- 10Baste the chicken with pan juices halfway through roasting.
- 11Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before carving.
- 12Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
