The Best Ramen, But Untraditional (3 ways)

- ●2 cups ramen noodles
- ●4 cups beef broth
- ●1 cup miso paste
- ●1 lb beef chuck, cut into cubes
- ●1 onion, chopped
- ●3 cloves garlic, minced
- ●2 tbsp soy sauce
- ●1 tbsp chili powder
- ●1 tsp cumin
- ●1 tsp oregano
- ●1/2 tsp black pepper
- ●1/2 tsp salt
- ●2 tbsp vegetable oil
- ●1 lime, cut into wedges
- ●Fresh cilantro, for garnish
- ●Chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- 1In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent.
- 2Add the beef chuck cubes to the pot and brown on all sides.
- 3Stir in chili powder, cumin, oregano, black pepper, and salt. Cook for another minute to toast the spices.
- 4Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 1.5 hours, or until the beef is tender.
- 5Once the beef is tender, remove it from the pot and shred it using two forks. Set aside.
- 6In a separate bowl, mix the miso paste with a ladle of hot broth until smooth. Stir this mixture back into the pot.
- 7Add soy sauce and adjust seasoning if necessary. Let it simmer for another 10 minutes.
- 8Meanwhile, cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- 9To serve, place a portion of ramen noodles in a bowl, ladle the birria miso broth over the noodles, and top with shredded beef.
- 10Garnish with fresh cilantro, chopped green onions, and a wedge of lime.

- ●2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- ●2 tbsp vegetable oil
- ●2 packs ramen noodles
- ●2 green onions, chopped
- ●Salt to taste
- ●Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- 2Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and celery (the 'holy trinity') and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- 3Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- 4Add the sliced andouille sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
- 5Pour in the chicken broth and water, then add the Cajun seasoning, okra, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.
- 6Reduce heat and let simmer for 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 7Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 3-5 minutes.
- 8Meanwhile, cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- 9To serve, place a portion of ramen noodles in a bowl and ladle the gumbo over the top.
- 10Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
