Combine 1 1/2 tablespoons of shortening (using Earth Balance) with 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons of molasses, 1 cup of sugar, and 1/2 cup of almond milk in a KitchenAid mixer.

3

Add 3/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 3/4 teaspoon of ground cloves, and 1 3/4 teaspoon of ground ginger to the mixture.

4

Mix on low speed until combined.

5

Roll out the dough on a cling wrap taped to the countertop, using flour to prevent sticking.

Cut out shapes for the gingerbread house using cookie cutters.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

8

Transfer the cutouts onto a baking sheet and bake for 10 to 13 minutes until firm.
