1

Heat oil in a medium-sized pot.

2

Add chopped onion, garlic, and carrots to the pot, mixing well, and allow to cook for about 2-3 minutes.

3

Wash the parboiled rice thoroughly before adding it to the pot.

4

Add the washed rice to the pot and toss it, allowing it to cook for about 1-2 minutes.

5

Pour in the canned coconut milk and a little water into the pot.

6

Add the seasonings: brown sugar, chicken bouillon, seasoned salt, complete seasoning, and black pepper, and stir well.

7

Optional: Add a little casrip for color, or soy sauce if preferred, and give it a good stir.

8

Cover the pot and cook for about 15 minutes before adding the canned peas to prevent them from becoming mushy.

9

After 15 minutes, add the canned peas to the pot and stir.

10

Cover the pot again and continue cooking until the rice is tender, about 30 minutes on medium-low heat.

11

Leave a little liquid in the pot to prevent the rice from drying out as it cools.
