Break the leftover bread into small chunks.
Add 3/4 cup of white sugar and 1/2 cup of light brown sugar to a bowl.
Add Hershey's cocoa powder to the sugar mixture, using extra for a richer taste.
Mix the sugars and cocoa powder together with a whisk.
In a separate bowl, combine 2 cups of whole milk, vanilla extract, and 2 eggs, whisking to break up the eggs.
Pour the milk mixture into the sugar and cocoa mixture, mixing well to combine.
Press the bread chunks down into the liquid mixture, ensuring they soak up the liquid.
Let the mixture sit for a few minutes, then stir to ensure all bread is soaked.
If the mixture seems too dry, add about 3/4 cup more milk and mix until desired texture is achieved.
Pour the mixture into an 8x8 glass baking dish that has been sprayed with baking spray.
Bake in the oven at 350°F for 40 minutes.
