Preheat the griddle to 475 to 500°F.

Squirt down a little bit of avocado oil on the griddle.

Place 2.5-ounce burger balls (4 total) on the griddle.

Sprinkle Mexican taco seasoning over the burger balls.

Place 6-inch flour tortillas on top of the burger balls.

Use a smash burger press to flatten the burger balls and tortillas.

After about 2 minutes, check if the tortillas are cooking through by pulling back one.

Flip the burgers and cook the tortillas in their own fat for another 2 to 3 minutes.

Lower the burners or turn them off after flipping to avoid burning the tortillas.

Add more taco seasoning and shredded cheese on top of the burgers.

Transfer the cooked burgers and tortillas to a cutting board and top with lettuce, tomato, and chunky salsa.
