Pour the whole box of vanilla wafers into a food processor and blend until smooth with no big chunks.

Transfer the ground vanilla wafers to a bowl and add 3/4 cup of sugar and 4 tablespoons of melted butter. Mix well until there are no thick clumps.

Press the crust mixture into a lightly greased 9-inch springform pan, spreading it evenly across the bottom and slightly up the sides. Chill in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.

In a bowl, combine 16 ounces of softened cream cheese with 3/4 cup of sugar and blend until smooth.

Mix 1 cup of boiling water with 1 box of orange jello in a separate bowl. Chill in the refrigerator until completely cooled.

Zest the entire orange using a grater and set aside.

In a bowl, combine 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Blend until stiff peaks form and set aside.

Take half of the whipped cream mixture and fold it into the cooled jello along with the orange zest until well combined.

Combine the remaining whipped cream mixture with the cream cheese mixture and mix until smooth.

Remove the crust from the freezer and layer half of the cream cheese mixture on top, spreading it evenly.

Layer half of the orange creamsicle mixture on top of the cream cheese layer and spread it out.

Repeat the layering process with the remaining cream cheese mixture and orange creamsicle mixture until all is used, smoothing the top.

Cover the cheesecake with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
