Combine the cinnamon, baking soda, and salt in a bowl and mix well.
In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas using a potato masher.
Crack the two eggs into a separate bowl to avoid shells, then add to the mashed bananas and whisk together.
Add the melted butter to the banana and egg mixture and mix well.
Stir in the vanilla extract and white granulated sugar until combined.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts, which were chopped off camera.
Grease a glass bowl and pour the batter into it.
Optionally, add a few walnuts on top of the batter before baking.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (177°C) for 50 minutes.
Check for doneness and ensure the edges are not burning; cover with aluminum foil if necessary during the last 15-20 minutes of baking.
Let the banana bread cool for about 30 minutes before slicing.
