1

Preheat the oven to 350 F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper, then set aside.

2

In a large mixing bowl beat ½ cup of the butter until it is creamy. Add in the granulated sugar and beat until it becomes fluffy. Mix in the egg, sour cream, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract until blended.

3

In a separate bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until combined.

4

Add the flour mixture into the butter mixture and beat on a low speed until combined and a soft dough forms.

5

Drop the dough by heaping tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheets at least 2 inches apart. Flatten the balls slightly. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden. Let the cookies cool completely.

6

In a large bowl beat the remaining ½ cup butter with the cream cheese on medium speed until creamy. Add in the remaining teaspoon of vanilla extract and the milk until combined. Slowly add in the powdered sugar until incorporated. Once incorporated, turn the mixer to high speed and beat for 2 minutes until the frosting is light and fluffy.

7

Spread the frosting on the cooled cookies and top with sprinkles as desired.
